Bio & High Resolution Headshot

Karyne Norton

Karyne Norton hasn’t found the key to time travel, immortality, or infinite lives, so she’s taking a break from nursing and photography to focus on raising four human beings while writing epic fantasy. Her debut novel, Blood of the Stars, launched on Kickstarter in September 2023 and came to retailers March 2024.

When she’s not writing, she’s reading, which is why she’s also the host of the Finding Fantasy Reads podcast, where she reads a new short story every week from a variety of fantasy authors. Check it out to find your next favorite author!

Time travel, rebel factions, a deadly virus, and romance—what’s not to love? Karyne Norton has a winner with The Things We Can Change! I thoroughly enjoyed this action/adventure romp across time with heart-stopping characters I quickly fell in love with! Clever and inventive, this is a story you won’t want to miss!

The Things We Can Change is a thrill ride! With mind-bending time travel plot twists, a cast of loveable characters, romance with depth, pulse-pounding action, and heart-warming themes, I couldn’t read fast enough. A must read for fans of sci-fi!

Candace Kade, Author of The Hybrid Series

Karyne Norton’s Blood of the Stars crafts a rich fantasy realm exploding with life and complex heroes who grow throughout a quick-paced plot as they explore loyalty, religion, and consequences of their actions. A solid conclusion sets up a sequel for this first book of The Half-Light Chronicles series.

Lorehaven, 2024

A story of the things that bind us—the life-giving things, and the ones that break our hearts. Karyne Norton’s debut novel is a sweeping epic that pulls you deeply into the lives and relationships of her characters, the beginning of what promises to be an exceptional series!

J.A. Andrews, The Keeper Chronicles

Don’t miss Karyne Norton’s debut novel! Blood of the Stars is rich and immersive with plenty of action and heart. I cannot wait to read the sequel!

Melissa Marr, NYT Bestselling Author

“Every now and then an author comes along who you know is going to be special. Even rarer is the author where you say, ‘I wish I’d written that.’ Karyne Norton is the latter. Do yourself a kindness and get swept away in her immersive and brilliant storytelling.”

James L. Rubart, Christy Hall of Fame author

Blood of the Stars  is a gripping epic with rich, fascinating magic, strong found family vibes, and hints of a slow-burn romance I am already in love with.
